Terms of use and privacy


The clearweather.ca site (the "Site") is owned and operated by Ford Doherty (the "Owner", see Contact tab). The following applies to all radar, weather and hydrometric station data, text forecasts and graphical forecast data on the Site (in sum the "Data").

Permitted use

This Site is available to anyone (the "User" or "Users") for personal or commercial use with the following limitation: NO AUTOMATED RETRIEVAL by scripts or other software scheduled to run repeatedly of Data from the Site is permitted without permission from the Owner.

Disclaimer for all data and information on the site

Users should use the information on the Site with caution and do so at their own risk. The Site accepts no liability for the accuracy, availability, reliability or suitability of the Data.

The Data presented on the Site are downloaded in real time from public Environment Canada websites that provide free access to all. They are provided 'AS IS' without warranty or condition of any nature. These data are normally posted within minutes or hours of observation or production. Subsequent quality assurance and verification procedures made by owners of the data may result in differences between what is currently displayed and what may become the official record as determined by the owner of the data or others. Data downloaded to the Site are not subsequently updated to reflect quality control changes made by the owners of the data (Environment Canada, provincial authorities, etc.).

Please be aware that network interruptions and technical failures can happen anytime and produce extended interruptions in access to the Data and small to large gaps in stored data.

Privacy

Requests to the Site (URLs) are recorded in order to monitor server load and website usage and to respond to excessive use by web crawlers or other actors. The records are generally discarded within two weeks.
