View menu tools

The tools provide maps with clickable weather station points on a map.

The View menu provides 3 different map views and options for current EC forecasts and station data back to 2021.

View 1. Standard view for Canada-wide navigation, radar and satellite animation where available

This view is the one you want to use in most cases.

Navigate by clicking near an edge or corner of the map or use the Move menu.

All maps cover 480 by 480 kms without zoom ability.

Use this view and the Move menu to search for a particular station.

Choosing "Zoom on stn" below a table of observations puts you into this view.

Drill down to an individual radar.

A small screen will not fit both the map and the weather observations frame so will not be as convenient as a larger screen.

Use landscape mode and a two finger zoom if necessary to get left and right edges of the map showing on your screen.

Check below the map for help messages and weather observations.

When panning the map in the Standard view, make sure the clickable map edge is in view.
